GREY FOX HELMET - METAL GEAR SOLID

Grey Fox's helmet from the game Metal Gear Solid.

Fully lined wearable helmet created for display incorporating LED lighting and magnetic fastenings.​

Each of the parts were 3D modelled in Blender before being printed on the 8k resolution 3D printer. The parts were then hand finished before being primed and painted using white pearlescent. Following this various parts had custom printed decals applied to match reference imagery.

 

Three lenses were needed for the helmet which were moulded in Mold-Star30 silicone before being cast in Crystal Clear 202 resin and tinted with So-Strong pigments from Smooth on.
