HARRY POTTER - THE ELDER WAND

Screen accurate wooden replica of The Elder Wand from Harry Potter.

The wand is hand carved from hardwood which gives the finished piece a lovely feel in the hand. The highest attention to detail was employed to ensure that the replica was as screen accurate as possible.

Colour was built up in many layers of thin washes to achieve the finished look and match reference images. The engraved runes around the waist of the wand were meticulously engraved before being hand painted.

As a huge fan of the Harry Potter franchise and a prop maker, I wanted to create a replica that does the original justice without being heavy or clunky.
